Meet our team at the Islander Resort Hotel

Dean has been employed at the Islander Resort for the past 15 years and has held numerous positions throughout the organisation. Dean is operationally focussed and also participates in all of our inbound sales activities. Dean sits on the board of the Gold Coast Adventure Travel Group and Backpacking Queensland and is active within other tourism based organisations. Our team’s goal is to provide affordable accommodation combined with a high level of customer service.

Margaret is one of our long standing employees having been with the Islander for 22 years, commencing just prior to Expo 88 which gave her a very good grounding in how to maximise occupancy.  Margaret is responsible for overseeing the front office department and handles all of our domestic and inbound reservations as well as making sure all of the websites are topped up.

David is our resident wine enthusiast who is a wealth of information on all things red, white and bubbly. He takes no greater pleasure in tracking down hard to find products for his customers and thrives on the challenges that are sometimes put to him.

David has been with us for 3 years and is proud that he can say he is a part of the Islander Resort Hotel. When David is not at work he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children and is a keen V8 Supercar follower and reptile keeper.

Kevin began working for the Islander 11 years ago as Night Auditor and over the years has worked his way to Accounts Manager. Kevin oversees the accounts department and is the main point of contact for any accounts related issues.

Crystal recently joined the team at the Islander and is responsible for all domestic sales activities.  Crystal is the contact for all domestic travel agents and wholesalers and is also responsible for servicing the backpacker market.
